CHEERS is a deeply personal film, born out of a childhood shaped by the unspoken rules of a traditional Armenian household — where a man's word went unquestioned, and a woman's silence was mistaken for virtue. We grew up watching generations of women absorb neglect, distance, and betrayal without a word, taught that silence was how you showed love, how you showed respect, how you held a family together.

That pattern hasn't disappeared. We still see it today, across cultures — even inside modern American homes — just wearing different names. CHEERS is our attempt to sit with that inherited silence and let its emotional weight speak for itself.

To the women who recognize themselves in this story: what can feel like isolation is often shame handed down through generations, discipline mistaken for strength. The moment we start speaking, the cycle starts to break.

CHEERS is about that moment — the point at which silence, no matter how deeply it was shaped by generations of cultural trauma, can no longer hold back the truth. We hope this film offers a quiet moment of recognition, and a step toward reclaiming our own story — for ourselves, and for those who come after us.
